“Keeping Your Brain Healthy” A Free Stroke Education Community Event Hosted by Kaiser Permanente

Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, San Rafael is celebrating Stroke Awareness Month with this free community event. A morning of stroke education and prevention tips featuring keynote speaker Dr. Dean Ornish plus presentations by Loretta Wilson, RN NP, Tonya Burdock, PT, Dr. Jonathan Artz, and staff from Schurig Center for Brain Injury Recovery. Topics will include:

  • Living healthy
  • Tips to improve balance and reduce falls
  • Living with memory loss
  • Preventing strokes
  • Stroke resources in the community
  • The effects of stress and meditation on brain health and mood

This free event is open to the public. Anyone with an interest in stroke and stroke prevents is welcome. View the flyer here.
