Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)

An increasingly popular charitable vehicle, donor-advised funds are an excellent way to both simplify your charitable giving and facilitate your strategic philanthropic goals. Schurig Center is pleased to accept grants from donor-advised funds.

To recommend a grant from your DAF use the following information:

  • Marin Brain Injury Network (our legal name)
  • Federal tax # 68-0105213

Fidelity Charitable & Schwab Charitable

DAF Direct LogoIf you have a DAF with Fidelity Charitable or Schwab Charitable, you can either recommend a grant by contacting your administrator or initiating a grant online using DAF Direct. Recommend a grant to Schurig Center online now using DAF Direct here.

Community Foundation Grants

Schurig Center accepts donor-advised fund grants from community foundations, like Marin Community Foundation, The San Francisco Foundation, and others from across the United States.

Restrictions

Per IRS regulations, Schurig Center does not accept donor-advised fund gifts as payment for legally-binding pledges or for purchases that provide a personal benefit, such as event sponsorships and tickets. DAF gifts may be used for such purchases only if the donor waives all benefits, or in the case of sponsorships, pays separately for tickets, meals, or other benefits associated with an event.
