Brain Injury Support Groups

Connection, Understanding, and Hope After Brain Injury

No one should have to face the challenges of brain injury alone. Schurig Center’s Brain Injury Support Groups provide a welcoming community where survivors and family caregivers can connect with others who understand their experiences, share practical strategies, and find encouragement throughout the recovery journey.

Schurig Center offers separate support groups for brain injury survivors and family caregivers so each group can focus on the unique challenges, questions, and experiences of its participants.

Brain Injury Survivor Support Group

For adults living with the effects of traumatic brain injury (TBI), concussion, stroke, brain tumor, or other acquired brain injuries. Connect with peers, learn practical coping strategies, improve communication skills, and continue your recovery in a supportive community.

Brain Injury Caregiver Support Group

For spouses, partners, parents, adult children, siblings, close friends, and others caring for someone with a brain injury. Gain practical information, emotional support, and encouragement from caregivers who understand the challenges of supporting a loved one through recovery.

How to Get Started

Contact Schurig Center’s Intake & Resource Coordinator today to learn more about how our programs, like support groups, might be able to help you achieve your recovery goals. A doctor’s referral is not needed to attend our programs, and there is no fee for an initial call.
