We hope you’ll join us in ensuring essential connection and care continues to be available for our neighbors living with brain injury, during and after this crisis.

Donate Button

#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5, 2020 as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. There are many ways to support healing at Schurig Center on #GivingTuesdayNow…

  • DONATE – We hope to raise $10,000 to support Schurig Center’s rehabilitative and supportive services that are being offered “virtually” for our neighbors living with brain injury during the COVID-19 crisis. To help us reach our goal, the first $5,000 will be matched by a very generous donor.
  • Host a Facebook fundraiser
  • If you know someone living with brain injury, connect with them for a virtual chat or see if they could use a helping hand right now.
  • If you know someone who is caregiving for a loved one with brain injury, check in with them to see if you can offer help to them in any way, like offering to pick up groceries for them or preparing a meal to drop off, or leave them a comforting gift on their doorstep.

Though we do not know what the coming days and weeks may hold, we do know your generosity powers what we do and has kept us going for 35 years.

Giving Tuesday Now LogoThis #GivingTuesdayNow, we also want to give back to YOU our incredible community of friends to say THANK YOU for being the heart of Schurig Center’s mission.

Your kindness, collaboration, and generosity has provided healing and connection for countless lives over Schurig Center’s 35 years of service to the community.

YOU are the heartbeat of our mission.
We are grateful!

Schurig Center’s Board Chair Kim Strub Recognized Nationally

YouTube video

Schurig Center is thrilled to share that our volunteer Board Chair Kimberly Strub is one of five winners chosen for the National Association of Realtors® Good Neighbor Award for her tireless work helping make life better for people with brain injuries.

The Good Neighbor Award recognizes REALTORS® who make extraordinary commitments to improving the quality of life in their communities. The awards have been granted annually since 2000.

Over a decade of service as Schurig Center’s Board chair, Kim has raised $1,000,000, tripled both the organization’s reach and annual budget, and helped establish a concussion protocol for children in the Marin County school district.

Strub and the other four Good Neighbor Award winners will be featured in the November-December issue of Realtor® Magazine. The recipients will also be presented with trophies on Saturday, November 9 at the 2019 Realtors® Conference & Expo in San Francisco.

In addition, Schurig Center is deeply honored to receive a $20,000 grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation in honor of Kim’s excellence in community service. Wells Fargo’s generosity will go far in improving lives and we are deeply grateful.
